Real fans the heroes of the Pramac Generac Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix 2019 campaign – Journey to the Edge

Today, the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix has released its 2019 campaign, Journey to the Edge, showcasing real fans and their experiences at the event.

Journey to the Edge is an eight-part content series following a group of die-hard fans as they make their annual pilgrimage across stunning parts of Australia to Phillip Island to attend the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

The webisodes each tell a unique and authentic story and offer some great insights from real fans, whilst promoting the journey to the Island as part of the overall event experience.

The ultimate motorsport weekend starts before the race. It’s the best holiday of the year when you get to experience the open road with other MotoGP™ fans. The excitement only escalates the closer you get to the edge.

The webisodes also feature Aussie motorcycle greats Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner, looking back on their career highlights from racing at the Phillip Island circuit. Whilst Jack Miller makes an appearance in a light-hearted interview with these MotoGP™ fans.

Arthur Gillion, General Manager – Marketing at the Australian Grand Prix Corporation, says there are no better advocates for this event than the fans.

“We’re excited to launch ‘Journey to the Edge’, an eight-part mini-series using authentic fan experiences to tell the exciting story of 14 fans and their journey to the Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix in Phillip Island and their experience over the three event days,” he said.

“This content will give a unique insight into the event from fans’ perspectives, highlighting the excitement of the sport, the incredible event atmosphere and the stunning scenery and experiences fans can have along the journey, all which makes the whole experience so unique.”
